The German Club of the University of New Mexico is a student-run community of undergraduate and graduate students studying German. We work closely with the faculty of the German program, and together, we seek to bring the German language and culture to the Lobo and Albuquerque community.
Our group meets every Thursday at 7pm at Bosque Brewing on the NE corner of Girard and Central , where students, faculty, alumni, and people from the ABQ community come together to speak German at every level. From novice to native speaker, we invite everyone to join us for informal conversations and a beer or two or no beer.
In addition, we organize special events, such as ice-skating outings, board game nights, and film screenings. This semester, we will also offer a guided tour in English and German of the exhibit “German Arts and Politics 1910-1945” at the Albuquerque Museum on November 1 at 2pm. Please mark your calendar for this event.
