Pat Verrelle grew up in “Apple Pie America”, Carlsbad, New Mexico, It was wonderful growing up in the 50’s and 60’s. Pat was educated at New Mexico State University and University of Phoenix, majoring in Business and Marketing. She was the assistant to the Display Director for the Gimbel Department Stores exposing her to the fashion and design industry in Philadelphia where Pat met her husband. Jim Verrelle, a Tele Communications Manager Philadelphia native, fell in love with the Southwest where the newlyweds settled in Albuquerque. Her involvement in Residential and Commercial Real Estate was invaluable during her six-year commitment to designing the La Cueva Sector Plan for the City of Albuquerque, NM. She is the past President (14 years) of the Vineyard Estates Neighborhood Association and currently on the VENA Board. During this time, she worked for the New Mexico Academy of Family Physicians Association of NM, planning conferences in Albuquerque, Ruidoso and Taos.
Retirement in Albuquerque has been an exciting whirlwind for Pat, when she joined the Bead Society of New Mexico and is a Past President and Vice President Emeritus. Pat’s speciality is Designing Jewelry, Stranding, Bead Weaving and using Mixed Medias. Pat has won Ribbons for Jewelry Design, Color Mixes, Bead Embroidery and Metal Work at the New Mexico State Fair from 2017 through 2025. Pat is a member of the Visionary Arts and Crafts Guild of New Mexico. At the VACG Pat designs with precious gems, stones, metals, and beads from around the world. Her Jewelry Designs span from Traditional to Contemporary pieces. Pat Designs for Holiday and Private shows with clients in The USA, Germany, Canada and Australia.
